Mission

  • To promote Democratic principles and Democratic candidates by maximizing Democratic voter participation and to engage and reflect the diverse community in the Southwest Houston area.

  • To provide input to the Democratic Party on issues of importance to voters.

  • To raise awareness of the Democratic Party at various levels (National, State, County, City, and Precincts) as it affects the Southwest Houston region and educate the public about the voting process and Democratic principles.

  • To help raise funds and provide volunteer support for the Precinct Chairs, Senate Districts, the Harris County Democratic Party and Democratic candidates in activities and races that impact the Southwest Houston area.

  • To encourage and mentor our future Democratic leaders and candidates.

  • To network with other community and Democratic organizations to pool resources and exchange ideas.

Our bylaws do not designate a specific set of boundaries for our club, but we work to get out the vote in much of the shaded area below (these are the precincts we worked on for the 2020 election):

These areas include Sharpstown, Gulfton, Westwood, Braeburn, Robindell, Braeburn Valley West, Asiatown, Tanglewilde, Briarmeadow, and parts of Maplewood and Westbury.
