Outreach Coordinator: soren valverde
William Soren Valverde is a lifelong Texan and Houstonian. Being the son of immigrant parents, and raised in one of the most diverse neighborhoods of Houston known as Alief, Soren recognized a need for political and economic change in his community. While earning a Bachelor's degree in International Business Administration from Houston Baptist University Soren also helped co-found the College Democrats at HBU - the first ever Democratic organization to be established at the University. At age 24, Soren became the Director of Constituent Services for the office of Houston City Council - District F where he organized healthcare drives, conducted town-hall meetings, and attended to constituent concerns. An active member of the Democratic Party in both Fort Bend and Harris County, he serves as the Outreach Coordinator for the Southwest Democrats and Committee Member for the Fort Bend County Tejano Democrats. Soren's vision for his community is to help them break systemic barriers that block them from opportunities and it is the driving force behind the Valverde Foundation for the Youth, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that dedicates scholarships for minority students. Currently, Soren is the Chief Executive Officer of M3 Graphics Inc., a printing and sign construction company whose client portfolio ranges from Fortune 500 companies to prominent Democratic politicians. M3 Graphics Inc. was established in 1999 and is a member of IUPAT District 88, an approved AFL-CIO union printer.
