Social Media Director: fran watson

Fran Watson is an attorney and certified mediator whose law practice focuses on protecting the legacy of families through estate planning, estate administration, and LGBTQ family law.

Fran has a passion for equality and believes everyone deserves a life of dignity, equal access, and fair treatment. She has served in leadership at the local, state, and national levels in organizations and committees whose missions align with those beliefs. Her community work focuses on the intersection of LGBTQ equality and racial and gender justice.

With respect to local county politics, Fran is a former president of the Houston GLBT Political Caucus (and the first black woman to serve in that position), as well as a former HCDP Resolutions Committee Chair.
