On Saturday, August 15, 2020, the Harris County Democratic Party convened a CEC (County Executive Committee) meeting for all current precinct chairs. One of the goals of this meeting was to select the Democratic Party’s nominees for two openings on the ballot—the County Clerk, vacated in May by Diane Trautman due to illness, and the Harris County Department of Education (HCDE), At-Large, Position 7, vacated by Andrea Duhon upon her appointment to the board to fill a vacancy for Precinct 3. Teneshia Hudspeth was voted almost unanimously to be the nominee for County Clerk, and David W. Brown won a very close election for the HCDE position. Now let’s make sure they win in November!
